Intelligent Forward Collision Warning: A Nissan's World's First Technology

Since 2013, Nissan's collision warning systems have kept drivers ahead of the game. At CES 2017 we're going to show you the future again.

Nissan has always been a dreamer as well as a doer.

These ADAS (Advance Driver Assistance Systems) technologies formed the base of our research and development in autonomous drive technologies, our most advanced forms of driver assistance technologies.

While these technologies are capable of operating autonomously, Nissan’s belief and approach remains about enhancing the human driving experience rather than replacing it.

We believe in democratizing advanced technology to people. With an emphasis on increased safety, efficiency and trust that these technologies are bringing to millions of existing Nissan drivers.

At Nissan. We don't just imagine. We do.

2017 Nissan Leaf UNBOXING Review - Don't Let Its Dumb Name Make You Hate It

For today's unboxing review we bring you the car that proved it's possible for there to be an affordable EV with decent driving range, the Nissan Leaf. Launched back in 2010, it's since gone on to sell a total of 230,000 units worldwide and counting. Impressive. Our Leaf, a fully-loaded SL trim equipped with a leather interior and upgraded battery that allows for a 107-mile driving range, did more than impress us. Under the right circumstances (meaning a short commute to work, etc). we'd consider buying one. Unlike, say, a Tesla, the Leaf has a relatively low base price, starting at $29,000, but that's before a $7,500 US government tax credit. Several states offer additional tax incentives, too.

What else do we like about the Leaf? For starters, its five-door hatchback body style allows for it to be a suitable family car when necessary, and its dashboard design is, dare we say it, stylish. No joke. Bottom line is if you're looking for an EV that won't break the bank and is built by a reliable automaker, then the Nissan Leaf is a solid buy. Enjoy the review!

Intelligent Distance Control: A Nissan's World's First Technology

2017 Nissan Maxima UNBOXING Review - Is It Really The Four-Door Sports Car?

For our latest unboxing review we bring you the completely redesigned 2017 Nissan Maxima. Now, Nissan has, once again, branded the Maxima as a four-door sports car. But is it, really? Let's start with its engine: a naturally aspirated 3.5-liter V6 making 300 hp and 261 lb-ft of torque. It's paired exclusively with a CVT which sends power to the front wheels only. Looking at this latest Maxima from the outside, it's quite clear that Nissan put a lot of extra effort into styling. Compared to the previous generation Maxima, this one looks more premium.

The interior? It's literally Infiniti level quality and sophistication. Our tester is the top trim Platinum, meaning it comes with beautiful Mahogany wood tone finish inside, an 11-speaker Bose audio system, and NASA-inspired "Zero Gravity" front seats. Big question is whether or not the new Maxima drives like a sports car. Well, let's put it this way: Nissan made a nice effort but it's not quite a true sports sedan. What the Maxima really is, in our opinion, is an outstanding full-size luxury sedan. Combined with its spacious interior, the Maxima is now a competitor with the likes of the Chevrolet Impala and Hyundai Azera, though we think it's way more exciting than either of those two. Enjoy the review!
